Asana
We try to keep all the project tasks on the Asana which will help us to review the task progress. So whenever we start a new project, the Project Owner will create the Asana project with the required sections and will start posting the tasks for you. At Moweb, we take care of a couple of points while using Asana as follows,
- Try to get Asana ticket before you start working on any tasks. Practically it is not feasible to get all the projects on the Asana as we have multiple channels from where we get the tasks from the end client. So you might receive some tasks over Slack or Whatsapp too.
- On your day start, Asana must be opened on your system. You check for the *Ready for Action tasts with the highest priority and start working on that.
- Whenever you are done with the tasks and assign it back to the person whoever assigned it to you, post brief comment like what the work has been done by you. The person assigning tasks to you will not be available all the time to read the whole task description and check you work. So try to be specific, share the specific URLs in comments you want to get reviewed.
- When some one create and assign the task, it will be *Ready for Action + *High (Priority Tag)
- When you start working on that task, you remove the*Ready for Action tag and Add *In Progress tag. This will indicate the task owner that you have started working on this task. Do not remove the Priority Tag.
- When you are done with the task, remove the *In Progress tag and add *Ready for QA Tag and assign it back to the person whoever assigned it to you.
